An Unloving God Sends People to Hell?

Many critics of the Christian faith like to point out that a truly loving God would not send innocent people to Hell. This would include children. The critics like to point out that the Christian deity is a God that deals out suffering to innocent people. Are people truly innocent? Is there injustice in God? Does the God of Christianity exemplify love or is He as the critics say, “harsh and cruel?”
The premise that children (humanity as whole) are totally innocent is incorrect. The Bible clearly teaches not only are “all” people desperately wicked, but it even alludes that each person after Adam & Eve was conceived in sin. What that means is that our sinful nature is inherited by our parents. In God’s eyes no person is innocent. The Bible clearly teaches in various places that humanity is fallen and that no person seeks God. Even the person who eventually converts to Christianity does not seek God on their own before they are converted.
Jesus (who is God according to Christianity) suffered a lot. Actually, He was the only person ever born after the fall that didn’t inherit the sinful nature of humanity. Not only that, but Jesus did nothing wrong (that means he did not sin) and yet suffered more than any person in history according to the Bible. Why was His suffering so bad you ask? Because He was perfect and did not deserve one bit of what He got. God is well aquanted w/suffering. Jesus said, that in this world we will have trouble…the New Testament teaches in various places that we will suffer. Becoming a Christian doesn’t make suffering go away, as a matter of fact it may actually intensify suffering.
The Bible says that God allows suffering. It also states that evil exists and so on. God promises the believer that though evil and suffering are present, He will triumph over it. He promises the believer that all things in the end work together for good for the elect of God.
Children suffering is not good as is injustice, disease, and cruelty. God says these things will continue to occur until Christ comes back. The Bible says that God hears the sufferings of those treated unjustly and He will judge those who inflict evil upon others.
Many have misconstrued who the Christian God actually is. The deity many describe is not a proper representation of the God of the Bible. Many who do not understand the God of the Bible misconstrue Him to be unjust and unloving. If God were truly this way there would be no point in following Him. The God of the Bible is the one that loved people so much He became man, lived the life they couldn’t live, suffered for wicked people who hated Him, was unjustly tried, beaten, mocked, and murdered. Then rose from the dead proving He is God and offers all those who will believe in Him eternal life. This God has truly demonstrated that He is love and there is no injustice found Him.
